Charles Ejogo pitched Umbrolly to the dragons on the first episode, he received investment from Peter Jones and Duncan Bannatyne. After an extended period of due diligence, the Dragons did not invest in Mr. Ejogo's business, though he did secure significant equity investment in 2007 from Burlington Investment Partners.
Mr. Ejogo subsequently grew the business into Ireland, France, Germany, and Holland, before resigning in April 2010, after losing their UK operations partner Photo-Me Int'l.
The Umbrolly vending service is still operated under licence in France (Photomaton), Germany (Prontophot), and the Netherlands (Parapluijt), but has recently ceased to trade in the UK.
